We spent the weekend in Leavenworth and fell in love! It’s a magical German/Christmas/Winter wonderland.
Here’s what I recommend to do in Leavenworth
Activities:
- Walk the Main Street and shop in their stores
- Walk Main Street at night to see the Christmas lights
- Tour the Nutcracker Museum – $5 per person
- Reindeer Farm tour – $20 person
- Snow mobiling
- Cross country skiing
- Ski and tube at Leavenworth Ski Hill
- Sled around Main Street (many stores sell sleds)
Places to eat
- Gingerbread factory (holy moly their cookies are amazing )
- Icicle brewing company
- Stein Leavenworth
- Gustavs
- J5 Coffee
- Leavenworth Cheesesteak Co
- Leavenworth Sausage Garden
- Heidleburger Drive In (please get their onion rings)
You really can’t go wrong with food in Leavenworth! There are TONS of cute restaurants along the the Main Street
Where to stay
- Icicle Village Resort (great for families)
- Bavarian Lounge (right in downtown, great location)
- Post hotel (great adults hotel with swim out pool)
- Blue Elk Inn
Once again you can’t go wrong with a hotel in Leavenworth, there is so many great options on the Main Street!
We really loved Leavenworth and can’t wait to come back!
